Do you see it? Look again...
There it is.
Love.
On a rock.
My beautiful mother-in-law found this rock for me on Wild Horse Island on a day when I was not well enough to look for my own. I have spent the last couple weeks in a whirlwind of medical procedures looking for answers to some sensory issues I am having in my butt and legs. For now, the treatment is a wicked three-week round of mega steroids that have left me in a stupor on the chaise lounge in my backyard. I have a very fuzzy brain after I take the medication in the morning. I've done some internet shopping in my dizzy state. Looking forward to seeing what I get in the mail. Hahaha.
The good news is that I am well on the road to recovery, having started the taper that will bring the medication back down to none. That will be a glorious day.
In this moment, though, I am so thankful for:
Faith...I've pressed in to the Father, He has loved back with good promises.
Family...I am a lucky girl, surrounded by a family who loves selflessly.
Friends...They make my world bright.
Hope...This amazing body is fighting hard for normal. I feel at peace and confident.
Joy...It is NEVER dependent on circumstances. I choose joy. Always and forever.
I am headed back out to the sunshine and comfort of my chaise. I think there is some hookie-yarnie-goodness waiting for me there, too. Life is a crazy beautiful thing. I intend to live it well and without regret.
i do see the love and am happy to read that you are on the downhill side of uncomfortable treatment. wishing you well and great big grins of excitement as your mail comes rolling in.
:-)

I've been thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers after Kelsey had coffee with Hailey and said you were having some "issues" with your legs. Glad to hear you are on the downhill slide of medication. Hope you get some great surprises from your internet shopping! You always have a positive attitude and smile on your face! You GO GIRL!! Will watch for more good news as the meds decrease!

Can only imagine how difficult and uncomfortable you have been. Hate taking meds that leave me less than coherent. When I had my knees replaced I took myself off the pain meds as soon as I could as they left me feeling nauseous and floaty feeling. Not that I'm all that coherent normally due to being 73, lol.
Keep up taking your meds so you can get well, happy thoughts to you. Happy weekend

Al the best to you. Don't like it when our bodies do funny things to us.
I lived with 45º double vision for a couple of months, and it was a relief to finally diagnosed with ocular MG.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling well Cassie. And especially that you have to take those nasty steroids -- they drive me crazy (in more ways than one LOL). My funny side would like to crack some butt jokes, but I'll be a good girl. Take care of yourself!
