I've been working some paint magic on a 1971 Lane coffee table. When I started in on this lovely Goodwill find, she was an icky shade of black walnut. So NOT her color. The new paint color is Going My Way from Ace Hardware.
This table is a birthday gift for my oldest daughter, Hailey. She turned TWENTY on Tuesday! Yikes. She and two of her friends are busy setting up their first apartment. I'd like to say that I picked this paint color to symbolize my wishes for her life. I hope things always GO HER WAY. But, seriously, I'm not that deep. The name of the paint color is a happy coincidence.
One more crazy table factoid...This coffee table is the exact same kind of table that my parents had in our home when I was growing up. Flashback!! I could not load this treasure in my car fast enough. Love it. Maybe someday when Hailey is done with it, it will return to me.
And, yes, Mr. Handsome-And-Manly did shake his head a little when I plopped another piece of Goodwill furniture in his garage. He would never admit it, but he likes this one. I just know it.
Wow -- great find! It's gorgeous. I have a little end table of a similar style that I painted in the 80's -- I'm thinking it needs a facelift now. What a lucky girl to have YOU to help her in the decorating department!
