Ummmm...no. I was out and about thrifting wool sweaters for a little project that's been dancing around in my head when I came across this little beauty. Twenty four bucks for a solid wood desk. SCORE!! I can't wait to transform her into something wondrous. I don't quite know yet what the destiny of this sweet desk is, but for now I am smitten with the possibilities. Mr. Go Girl Incredibly-Manly-and-Handsome* doesn't always share my enthusiasm for thrifty finds. Mostly because my treasures sit in his garage for months on end. It bugs him. He's kinda OCD like that. He was out of town this week. In fact, he'd been gone for less than four hours when I loaded this into the back of the Suburban. That will teach him to leave me unsupervised. I was also late for church without him to keep me on task, but just a little. Shhhhh. I wonder if he'll notice this desk sitting in the middle of our living room upon his return tomorrow. I'm kinda thinking so. I'll give him just the right look though. He will love the desk too. Or maybe he just loves me enough to not say anything. Yes. I think that is probably it. I love that guy!
*Apparently it is not a good idea to call your husband Mr. Go Girl if you want him to like the desk you have sitting in the middle of the living room. Who knew? Thanks, Hailey, for pointing that out. You helped me dodge a bullet.
Yay fun! I love thrifting furniture!
