Think Pink

A wee bit of pink for you on Valentine's Eve...

Look what my Christmas cactus is doing.  I think it is confused.  Maybe it secretly wants to be a Valentine cactus.  After all, its blooms are pink not Christmas red.  Or, maybe it's just late.  I can relate. (Ha, ha.  Get it?  Re-"late".)  I can also relate to Gumbo Lily's blog post about her Christmas cactus.  Bloom where you are planted, girlfriend (or guyfriend)!

I love looking at these earrings.  They are pink, delicate, sparkly, and very girly.  They look huge in my ears, though.  Maybe it's time for a rockin' redo?

I made a new zippy wallet in pink Fresh Cut.  It's for sale in my You Go Girl etsy store.  This pink fabric is even more amazing when it is made into something than it is on the bolt.  I think I need a spring bag in this fabric.  Oh, and look at that snazzy pink snap.  I ordered some new snaps from here.  I'm liking them.

   

This is a scarf I made as a Christmas gift for Paige. It is lined with pink flannel and has a lot of pink Farmer's Market in it.  Paige has worn it a few times, so it is not quite as "crisp" as it once was. I made a scarf for Hailey, too.  I gave you sneak peek here.

And finally...The palette for my next doodle stitch.  Not sure what it's going to look like, but I plan to use a lot of those three pink colors.  I will share when it is done.

Do you use the snap setter on the top of that site? I hate my current
pliers type one. It just smashes the snaps. I basically gave up making little wallets because of it.

Thanks for the link to those colored snaps - they have a great selection of colors! Your Christmas cactus is so beautiful! Isn't it great to have so much color? And I love those earrings. I should try making those scarves - they are so fun!

My *Christmas* (Thanksgiving, Valentine, Easter) Cactus is on a continual bloom-fest! It has continuously been blooming since Thanksgiving. It has little dips in blooming, but it just carries on into each new holiday. I had Valentine Blooms and I see it is still "making babies" right now. I wonder if I'll have blooms into Easter too?
