Just a quick post to say hi. I hope all your Christmas sewing, and decorating, and baking, and card writing, and shopping is all going well. I'm plugging along trying not to think about how much needs to be done in the next 20 days. In the end, it will all be good. It always is.
Here's a quick peek at some Christmas goodness I am making down in the workshop. I can't show it all, nor can I tell you who it's for. That might ruin a good surprise.
My goal this year is to not give any You Go Girl gift certifcates (a.k.a I-wanted-to-make-you-something-but-I-ran-out-of-time certificates). In order to do that, I'm thinking I would like to get myself some of those helpful North Pole elves. Not the toy making kind 'cause I think there probably pretty busy this time of year! I'm looking for the cleaning and dinner-making kind. Hmmm...I think I'll google elf before I head down to my Christmas workshop. I'll let you know if there are any good ones out there for hire.
Tootles,
Cassie
I loved your statement..."in the end, it will all be good. It always is."--That is so true, and sometimes, about now, we seem to forget that! So thank you. For reminding me! Happy sewing!

Do the Christmas elves mark students' work as well? If so, I could do with a few :) I love the doodle stitchery. You have shocked me with the whole 20 days idea. Also the fact that I am working right up until the 23rd this year means little to no time for preparations!! Hmm, watch this space... there may be a blog post coming up for help and ideas :) Good luck with you non-IOUs. I gave one of those to my step-sister for the pink wristwarmers... they are still work in progress!! X

If you find the elf, PLEASE let us know. I'm thinking I'll definitely be issuing gift certs this year!

What an adorable embroidery scene! Looks intriguing on that brown corduroy - can't wait to see what it is.

Hey, when you find those elves, please send me the number where I can reach them. I need them too! ;)
Your stitchery looks great. Looking forward to seeing the finished product--after Christmas, of course!
