I can cross another I.O.U off the list! Five down, two to go. Woohoo!
This little purse is for Becca. She fell in love with Emily's purse and decided she wanted the same style. She chose some Summer in the City fabric that I have been hoarding saving for a special project just like this. I love this fabric. These little birds remind me of robins.
Inside the bag, it has an interior tie to keep it closed. It also has three pockets to hold all the lip glosses, pens, notebooks, lotions, hand sanitizers, kleenex, and Tic-Tacs that a ten-year-old girl should never leave the house without!
Becca is thrilled to finally have her purse done. I'm glad Hailey and my older sister are patient 'cause they're still waiting. Soon. Soon. I will get to it soon. But probably not this week since we are squeezing every last bit of fun out of summer before school starts and little rockin' robin flies south. Mr. Handsome has taken some time off this week. We've hiked in Glacier National Park, investigated Garnet Ghost Town, biked to the Dairy Queen (ten miles round trip!), and done a little school shopping for that all-important-first-day-of-school outfit. We hope to hike in the Swan Range, float the Blackfoot River on inner tubes, and recreate swim and boat on Flathead Lake before the week expires. I'll post our adventures next week. Right now I better sign off before I miss something fun!
Lovin' summer,
Cassie
EDIT ALERT: I made a quick change to the last paragraph lest anyone get the wrong idea about what's going to happen at Flathead Lake. See Thimbleanna's comment below. Five is enough! There will be none of that! Besides this is a family outing. Truly. LOL!
Cassie, love the Rockin' Robin bag! The music is a nice touch also! And, if I didn't already tell you, I tried your binding tutorial on a real quilt (why practice?) and it worked great! You're awesome!

Wow Cassie! (Fist of all, love the bag!) You've got an adventure packed week going! I've been to several national parks but Glacier isn't one of them -- I SO want to go! And you and Mr. Handsome be careful this week...there could be another way to read your sentence "recreate on Flathead Lake". Just so you know LOL!

Anna is hilarious. I love that comment. And that bag is to DIE for. It is so so cute. Yeah you've been hoarding. I tried to get some of that fabric and have been trying - no go. Even when it first came out I saw all the other fabrics that were in that line but not that one and by the time I discovered it was in the line it was out of stock EVERYWHERE. Seriously.
Its lovely though.
Have a GOOD time.
