I am so eager for some leaves on my trees that I've taken to drawing them at church! Is that wrong? I hope not. Maybe God will see the desire of my heart, penned on to paper, and send sunshine soon.
Winter is long in these parts. If you peek up into my trees, they still look pretty naked.
But if you get up close, you can see that they are ready. Ready for some warm days. Ready for some rays of sunshine. Ready to burst into glorious leafy-ness.
Until those warm sunny days come, I will have to be content to gaze upon Miss Forsythia. She is sunshine in bush form. She lives right in my backyard. I love her. She never disappoints.
Waiting for a bit o' sun~

And just so you know, I was listening to the message while I was drawing. Honest. I think drawing helps me hear better. I'm not just saying that. I mean it, Pastor Aaron.

Love your doodling! (even if it was in church!)
There is a lot of PROMISE in those trees!
I wish I could send you some of our sunshine....it was over 90 degrees here today with PLENTY of sunshine. I'd share....really I would!

I found myself doodling during meetings. (like council meetings) I went home and googled doodles, and found that mine meant I felt like I was imprisoned. lol I have to admit, I'm not fond of leadership meetings. :D

Hang in there -- it's on it's way. We've had the longest, most glorious spring this year. It was so warm in March that a few trees started leafing out. Then we got a bit of a chill which froze the leafing for a few weeks and now they're all starting to pop again, right on schedule! Sending warm vibes your way Ms. Cassie!

I used to let my kids play with Legos when I read aloud to them for home school. It seemed to help them retain. Love your sketches too. Will they turn into an embroidery?
Foggy morning here with no leaves on the trees.
