A robin family that is living in the apple tree right outside my window.
The little robins hatched sometime this weekend. I'm not sure how many babies there are, but Mr. and Mrs. Robin are very good parents. Doesn't she look cozy sitting in her nest guarding her little family? Every so often Mr. Robin shows up and spells her for a bit. This morning both parents were busy feeding the newest members of the Robin family. This, by the way, is the same apple tree that the bears visit in the fall. The tree should probably listed as a sanctuary for wildlife or something like that.
All the lovely things blooming in my flower gardens.
Nobody can create quite like Mother Nature. These are just ordinary petunias. When you really look at them you notice that they are absolutely stunning.
A rockin' redo on an old piece of furniture.
Round one of painting is done. I'm sure there will be a big reveal when the project is finished.
A wee bit of stitching.
In all the craziness and busyness that is summer, I still find a minute to stitch now and again. I sneak in to my craft room and get my stitch fix when Mr. Handsome is watching his beloved Dodgers on my computer.
My blue-eyed baby girl turned thirteen in April. Thirteen! I love this girl. She's such a fun lovin' little peanut.
Here she is in Yellowstone...
Can you tell how her trip to shore went?
For her birthday, I stitched up a new purse fitting for a gal of three and ten years.
I used Rae's Buttercup Bag pattern and some fabric I had left over from this project. Let me just say that I love this pattern. This petite bag is super cute and quick to make. I downloaded the pattern for free. Yes, FREE! Thanks Rae. You're the bomb. I think I will purchase a copy of it, though, so that I can sell some of these little bags in my shop. To do that, however, I will have to find some time to stitch. So many ideas...so little time...it's a universal conundrum. Don't you think?
Happy 4th of July weekend to my USA blog friends. Well, I mean, happy 4th of July weekend to everyone. But for my USA blog friends, it is our country's birthday. So I guess what I want to say is happy 4th of July weekend to everyone and happy Independence Day weekend to anyone who might be celebrating this holiday. Wow. That got a little more involved than I'd intended!
This little slice of Pop Garden yum is for my sister. I hope she likes it as much as I do. The fabrics on this bag came together better than I'd even hoped. Look at all those red Full Moon Polkies. I am using them up with reckless abandon. What will I do when there is no more?
We will be at the lake this weekend. It's going to be perfect summer weekend. Hot and sunny with a lot of family mixed in. Ahhh...summer!
